The pedestrian overpass included the extension of the Soundview trail to the pedestrian overpass abutment, construction of an elevated pedestrian structure to Column 7, and two (2) sets of stairs with two (2) landings on the water side of the railroad tracks.  The elevated structure extended from the abutment, over the BNSF Railway tracks, to Column 7 located in the tidelands.  This work included grading, trail, bridge abutment, drilled concrete shaft substructure, steel pile driving, precast and cast in place superstructure, steel and stainless steel cable handrail.
